CERTEGO, the Nordic expert in access and monitoring solutions, has been conducting their own training during the past 10 years, to respond to the industry's need for new security technicians. Recently, CERTEGO completed their tenth apprenticeship program.

"Our employees are our biggest asset. Therefore, it is important what kind of people we recruit. Our values guide us in our daily work and therefore it is important that the recruits share our values. The persons personality and drive are of more importance than technical skills," says Jesper Jakobson, regional manager CERTEGO region West.

CERTEGO is looking for people who are open, outgoing and solution-focused, as the technicians work with people on everyday basis. They don't have to be technically educated, but not afraid to learn new things and of course be technically interested. It is a broad profession, so there is room for many different types.

CERTEGO has a social responsibility, and we also want to make sure that we get inclusion and diversity in the program. We firmly believe that teams with mixed backgrounds are more successful. We have a high employee commitment, and we take daily temperature measurements of the organization. It is often through recommendations that employees find us. They have heard about CERTEGO as a company and would like to work for a responsible and committed company. Our eNPS is at 30% and rising.

CERTEGO apprenticeship program is a unique opportunity to get a thorough, comprehensive education on site. The training is three months long and the apprentices get to work practically in the field with experienced technicians with theoretical training in between. The training is comprehensive and handles most parts of what a CERTEGO technician should be able to handle; mechanics, electronics, passage systems, alarms, regulations and standard requirements.

"It has been educational and fun and very positive to alternate theory with practice. We had an incredibly passionate lecturer in alarm and access, which gave me new insights and interest," says Kristina, one of the participants in the program.
