Living in a sustainable way is the greatest challenge of our time. The places where we live, the buildings we work in, and not to mention transportation, accounts for a large part of the world's climate and environmental impact. In connection with tomorrow´s Earth Hour, we share our environmental goals and how we adapt our own operations to reduce our climate footprint.
Sustainability is a fundamental part of CERTEGOs strategy and business philosophy. Sustainability and social responsibility have always been important to us, but over the past year we have taken major steps forward in defining a clearer framework and objectives around the areas where we can contribute the most.
Environmental goals for 2023
Our sustainability work is divided into 3 areas Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), and these are our environmental goals for 2023:
- 30% of our car fleet should be electrified/hybrid
- 100% renewable electricity where we are responsible for the electricity subscription
- 75% of branches have implemented appropriate waste management.
With our work on these environment issues, we contribute to achieving goal 7 (Affordable and clean Energy), goal 12 (Responsible consumption and production) and goal 13 (Climate action) of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
We support EARTH HOUR 2023
Tomorrow, Saturday, March 25, between 20:30 and 21:30 CET we encourage our employees and everyone else to take part in Earth Hour to show support for the fight against climate change. Join by turning off the lights, unwinding and taking a break from your everyday chores and spend 60 minutes doing something positive for nature and yourself.
