At Finlandia Hall in Helsinki, everything from city residents to world leaders gather for events that require high security. When the building underwent a major renovation, safety was a key part of the project – and the choice of security partner naturally fell on CERTEGO.
“We have collaborated with CERTEGO for a long time and knew they could deliver solutions that are both flexible and user-friendly,” says Heikki Mäkelä, Head of Technical Services at Finlandia Hall Oy.
Seamless Access Control and Enhanced Surveillance
CERTEGO upgraded the access control system, burglary alarm, and camera surveillance to create a secure and dynamic environment. The ABLOY OS system now controls access to all critical areas, ensuring that both staff and guests can move safely within the building. The surveillance system, featuring over 100 Bosch cameras, provides a clear overview of both the interior and exterior.
“Access control is now significantly more comprehensive, and the camera surveillance not only increases security but also provides valuable visitor statistics,” Mäkelä explains.
Access control at Finlandia Hall covers all major routes, and access events are easy to locate on the system's map templates.
High Security Around the Clock
With CERTEGO’s help, Finlandia Hall now has a reliable burglary alarm system that protects the building 24/7. Glass break detectors and magnetic contacts ensure that any security threat can be quickly addressed. At the same time, user-friendliness has been a priority, allowing staff to easily adjust security levels as needed.
A Long-Term Partnership
CERTEGO continues to be a strategic partner for Finlandia Hall even after the renovation. “They have the expertise and resources to support us in the long run, and we can highly recommend them for complex security projects,” Mäkelä concludes.
