For the third year in a row, CERTEGO Finland has participated in the cycling competition "Kilometrikisa."
Through a collective effort to improve health, well-being, and reduce our environmental impact, CERTEGO’s team cycled a total of 7,436.5 kilometers, saving 520 liters of gasoline and reducing carbon emissions by 1,300 kilos. The team clocked 284 cycling days, with an average distance per participant of 464.8 kilometers.
"By encouraging our colleagues to cycle to work, we promote an active lifestyle that strengthens the heart, muscles, and overall fitness. Regular cycling also helps reduce stress and boost well-being, leading to a healthier and more energized workforce," says Mirva Viljakainen, Service Manager at CERTEGO Finland.
In addition to the personal health benefits, cycling has a direct positive impact on the environment. Every kilometer cycled instead of driving reduces CO2 emissions, making it an important step toward a more sustainable future.
“By swapping the car for a bike, even just a few times a week, we can collectively lower the company’s carbon footprint and contribute to a cleaner, greener planet. It’s not only a fun and engaging activity, but also a meaningful investment in both our employees' health and the environment,” says Mirva.
